JESSE WOODROW

Jesse Woodrow is one of the co-founders of LutheranHANDS and continues to serve as a mission trip leader with the team. Following Hurricane Katrina God called him to serve on the Gulf Coast. Following the first few trips, Michael Brommer and Jesse decided to launch what now is known as LutheranHANDS. They have been inviting their friends, family and neighbors ever since to help bring hope to disaster stricken areas.

Jesse is passionate about growing leadership through service opportunities. He hopes that youth and young adults learn that they are able to be the change that is needed in the world today. They can light up the darkness and show everyone what Jesus looks like in the face of destruction.

Jesse is also the Coordinator of Children Youth and Family Ministry at Grace Lutheran Church in Camp Hill and a French and Spanish teacher at Hershey High School. When not serving in any of the aforementioned activities he prefers to be active and outside with his family.

KIRSTEN YOUSE HYATT

Kirsten is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Camp Hill. She has been attending mission trips with LutheranHands since the 2009 trip to New Orleans. This was her first mission trip, and ever since she has been hooked! Kirsten continued going on trips with LHands throughout high school, and in college began helping as a Mission Trip Leader Shadow and Assistant. She assisted with trips to New Jersey and Detroit from 2013-2015. In the summer of 2016, Kirsten lead the summer trip to Detroit. And came full circle in her LHANDS experience leading 2017 Summer Trip to back to NOLA where her passion for mission trips began. One of the things she enjoys most about leading trips is watching youth and adults to grow their faith by serving as Jesus did.

As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, when Kirsten is not planning mission trips, she works as an outpatient therapist at Valley Counseling Center. In her free time, Kirsten loves hitting up the dance studio and spending time with family and friends.

MATT LITTLE

Matt is a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Camp Hill and will be graduating from Penn State with a Master’s degree in May. He has been working with LutheranHANDS since 2014, volunteering on the annual summer trips as well as smaller, more local projects. With LutheranHANDS, Matt has attended two National Youth Gatherings, one in Detroit and one in Houston, and has traveled internationally to Guatemala, where he has visited multiple times since their first trip in 2016. Matt recently began his role as a Trip Leader after being a Work Site Leader, serving in the Trip Band, and shadowing Jesse and Kirsten both before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. He loves watching people connect to other volunteers, those they are serving, and the community as a whole, and he hopes to shepard relationships and leadership opportunities for those in the future, just as so many have done for him over the last decade.

Matt enjoys spending time with friends and family while he is home, and often finds his time being spent actively outdoors. Additionally, he is studying to become a Certified Public Accountant, to which he will use at his new job come late summer in Philadelphia.
