Where: We will be serving in the neighboring villages of Antigua. We will be staying in a GATED hotel in the town of Antigua. Antigua is recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Town! See a few pictures below of the hotel area below. As well as a map to show where we will be!

What will we be doing? Our main mission will be to serve in an orphanage with the kids there. There will be a variety of roles there availability that may include VBS activities, teaching english, sports, etc… We will also most likely help prepare meals for some indigenous elders of the region. This will surely be a humbling experience.

More? We will be learning a lot about the history of Guatemala and the hidden civil war that has happened there. Be open and ready to laugh, cry, and the roller coaster of emotions that will be coming.

The final orientation meeting will be held at:

Crist Farm

1317 Paxton Church Road

Harrisburg PA 17110

At this meeting we will be packing our checked luggage with donations. Please bring all donations along with you!

We will plan to go from 4P-7P on June 12th. Dinner will be provided.

How much? The cost of the trip is going to be $1400, this will cover nearly everything. Lodging, travel, food while in Guatemala, local service work supplies and supervision, faith formation in large and small group settings and a trip tee shirt.
What it will not cover is a meal or two in an airport and a dinner out while in Guatemala. There will be many opportunities for home-made souvenirs that I would suggest putting back $20-$50 back for. Home made shoes is one of the specialities of one of the men in the village. They look awesome!
These costs do not include the passport cost. Please be sure to secure your current passport ASAP. (NOTE: If your passport is within 6 months of expiration, you need to renew it. They may not allow you back in the U.S. if it is within 6 months of expiration.)

Prayer: Please continue praying as a family and church for God to prepare you mentally, emotionally and spiritually. There are many opportunities to serve and learn and I am telling you now, we are going to be rocked! God is at work and we are so blessed to be able to go!
