Get Involved in LutheranHANDS! We are looking for talented and dedicated people to join The LutheranHANDS Foundation Staff!  We are looking for talented volunteers to help us grow and evolve The LutheranHANDS Foundation.  Whether you are an experienced manager of fundraising, event planning, administration or just interested in helping out with video editing, picture management, or contributing to our website...we want you!

The LutheranHANDS Foundation is in need of talented volunteers to donate between 5-10 hours of their time per week.  We are looking for anyone and everyone who is interested in getting involved.  Perhaps you have a specific talent or gift you can offer or maybe you don't know where you would fit in...we want you!  

Here are some specific areas we are looking for help:

Mission Trip Planning - The core of our organziation is centered around providing mission trips to youth and young adults both domestically and, eventually, internationally.  To continue to grow our offerings, we need to add qualified and experienced mission trip leaders to our staff.  Our mission trip leaders plan mission trips throughout the world with all responsibilities from choosing the location, planning the cost structure, contracting transportation and housing, to leading the trip and being on-site supervisor.  Being a LutheranHANDS mission trip leader is an incredible resume builder and can be fun and inspiring to all those who embark on the process of planning and leading a mission trip.  If you are interested in being trained as a mission trip leader for LutheranHANDS...we want you!  (You must be 18 years of ago or older to enter the training program)

Fundraiser Planning - One of the ways The LutheranHANDS Foundation can operate is through fun social activities which also serve as fundraising opportunities.  From dinners to concerts to 5-Ks, a LutheranHANDS fundraiser is a great opportunity for volunteers to develop their skills at organizational and time management, and multi-tasking while planning events that everyone gets excited about!

Grant Writing - Another way LutheranHANDS is able to grow is through being awarded private and federal grants.  The process of being awarded grants can be lengthy.  We are looking for people to research grant opportunities and navigate the process of applying and being awarded a grant.  These opportunities allow for volunteers to develop their skills navigating through the legal and financial aspects of a business in order to win the award.

Video Management and Editing - We are in need of gifted people to make gold out of the gigabites upon gigabites of video and still images we have collected over the years.  There is no shortage of messages to get across and an infinite combination of video and images can be made that advertise the LutheranHANDS message and communicate to the world what we do and why our mission is so important.  The process of true creation, especially in the video area, can be very fun and rewarding!  We don't care if you have experience or just want to give it a try...we want you to put together short and long videos for YouTube, the website, our mission trips, and other outlets.

Advertisement Contributions - There are many ways in which The LutheranHANDS Foundation can advertise to the masses.  From bulletin inserts, flyers available for download and printing from our website, to planning workshops and seminars to communicate the LutheranHANDS Mission...you can get involved in spreading the LutheranHANDS message.  Are you good at creating Flyers, Brochures, Signs?  Are you interested sending out letters seeking out donors?  Are you good at public speaking or interested in seeking out opportunities for our leaders to speak?  Then we want you!

Graphic Art Designing - Are you gifted on the computer?  Photoshop?  Designer?  CreativeSuite?  Fireworks?  We are looking for people to design cool t-shirts, hats, hoodies, and more.  We are interested in folks who can create themes, logos, and brands.  We are looking for people who want their creativity out in the open for all to see.

Website Contributions - You're here, on our website!  How would you like for your words to appear here?  Whether it's researching news relavent to the LutheranHANDS Mission, a blog of your experiences a part of the LutheranHANDS Mission Trips, or developing a fun new way for the LutheranHANDS community to interact on our website, we want your help!

Senior Leadership Position Available!

LutheranHANDS is looking for a Director of Fundraising.  This person will sit on the Senior Leadership Team and be responsible for the management of all fundraising operations of The LutheranHANDS Foundation.  Our fundraising operations include, but are not limited to, grant writing, event planning such as dinners and concerts, seeking out corporate and individual donors, and seeking out other forms of non-liability funding to sustain the growth of The LutheranHANDS Foundation.  This person will be expected to volunteer at least 10+ hours per week and will report to the CEO.  If you are interested in applying or learning more, please contact Michael Brommer ( This e-mail address is being protected from spambots.
